Ltd. and its Euro Head/Euro Head Dual Port product. Two notifications issued on August 27, 2026 revise pricing rules for Ringer Lactate and other IV fluids packaged in non-glass containers with special features. The updates explicitly reference the authority’s prior orders from March 25, May 27, and July 8, 2026.
The first notification (S.O. 4776(E)) amends three prior orders—issued in March, May, and July 2026—to include Silica Healthcare in the regulated list. The company’s Euro Head/Euro Head Dual Port product is now subject to the same ceiling pricing framework for Ringer Lactate formulations. A new clause (e2) clarifies that only the price listed under Serial No. 3 of Table ‘A’ applies to Silica Healthcare’s entry, while the manufacturer’s details appear under Serial No. 32 of Table ‘B’ in the revised order. This ensures consistency with the pricing structure while accommodating the company’s inclusion.
The second notification (S.O. 4777(E)) introduces a fixed ceiling price for Mannitol Injection 20% in a 300 ml non-glass pack with special features. The price is set at Rs 0.41 per ml, effective April 1, 2026, adjusted for a Wholesale Price Index (WPI) of 0.64956%. Silica Healthcare’s product is also listed in Table ‘B’ of the order, with a new clause (g1) specifying that only prices from Serial Nos. 1, 2, 6, and 7 of Table ‘A’ apply to its formulations. The manufacturer’s entry appears under Serial No. 14 of Table ‘B’, reinforcing the alignment with existing pricing benchmarks for non-glass-packaged IV fluids.

These changes reflect the NPPA’s ongoing efforts to standardize pricing for IV fluids with specialized packaging. The inclusion of non-glass containers in the latest updates shows the NPPA’s focus on modernizing procurement standards while maintaining affordability.
